Music Director, Rosemary Allison

Rosemary Allison, the Music Director of the Cecilian Singers since 2005, has had many years of conducting experience with both equal voice and mixed voice choirs.

This includes time as Music Director of St Augustine’s Anglican Church in Cashmere, Associate Director of the Cathedral Singers at ChristChurch Cathedral in the Square and conducting choirs at several local secondary schools.

After 22 years of being both Choral Director and a classroom teacher of music at Christchurch Girls’ High School, Rosemary is now employed by Te Aho O Te Kura Pounamu (The NZ Correspondence School) where she is responsible for the distance learning of all students in the South Island who are studying music.

Rosemary is also an organist and pianist, and a member of the Christchurch City Choir.
